I will always love you Kasha. My traveller girl, thank you for letting me into your world. The nature of being a traveller means not connecting with the main population. It’s common sense. But, there are unhealthy traditions being practiced such as a code of silence, and mistrust on BOTH sides of the fence of the caravan park. Bizarrely – and it is only my belief – the tradition of staying quiet about traveller business is, to me, the worst tradition – even more so than the bareknuckle boxing, hare coursing, and chauvinism toward women. By not talking about these traditions they stay out of public awareness. We need to talk about this.
