Why so many lives lost to needless violence?

Paul Chisholm, 36

It seems every other day I hear in the news another person has been stabbed to death in London.

The painting acts both as a memorial to the 132 lives lost in 2018 and asks the question why so many lives have to be lost in needless violence? What can be done about it? and why is the problem escalating? This year alone 56 people have already been murdered in the capital and we are only half way through the year. Why isn’t more being done by our Government to stop this needless violence?
