Why is it so bad to have my head in the clouds so long as my heart is in the right place?

Why is it so bad to have my head in the clouds so long as my heart is in the right place?

Nimra Noreen, 16

This picture was taken by me at the Manchester Trafford centre on one of the worst day’s of my life. As hard as it sounds, I thoroughly struggle to find a balance between being the daughter of Pakistani immigrants and a child who was born in England.

Growing up in Manchester meant that I saw a vast amount of cultures in a diverse city, and thus I found comfort in the aesthetic of the Trafford centre. It reminded me of the fact that despite the identity and cultural struggle, I was quite simply just another human being who has a fondness for clouds.

“They pass and they float oh so beautifully, with every breath of God they see me waving.”

I may never find a true neutrality in a situation that involves culture, but I do know that for as long as I keep my head up high and have my heart in the right place I’ll always be happy.
