DigitalWhy Is It Always Me?, 20201080 x 1620

There are times in an neurodivergent persons life where they feel as if they are the one under constant scrutiny. The world around us is not geared towards someone who lacks an understanding of social norms or why people act the way we do. It can be hard to exist outside the box and on our worst days it feels like we’re fighting a constant uphill battle just to exist in the world, sometimes it feels as if it would be easier to hide in a small, quiet, box to be alone. This self portrait expresses the anguish it feels to exist in a world that wasn’t created for you. It often feels like we’re the devil when we’re judged for not understanding a persons emotions, or being upset at loud noises, or just collapsing from exhaustion at what many others would consider an easy day.
