The play I’d like to submit is a monologue called, A Place Where Businessmen Can Dance. Jack is missing. Rainer, a delivery rider, must find him. Through doorways and private clubs, she stalks his lost memory, catching glimpses of her friend as the city seems to shift around her. She knows London like the back of her hand. So, why is she so lost? A new surreal Noir by writer Max Wilkinson, it follows one woman’s journey into the seedy underbelly of London. Bankers, dirty money, gated communities and precarious work, a tale of loneliness, redemption and the stories we tell ourselves. A nightmarish vision of the future, and the present, and life after lockdown.
