My entry explores the ways in which humans take trees for granted. The images are memories, and now motifs, from my trips to visit family in Snowdonia, Wales. The elements of this painting are reminders of happy times; they are artefacts left or created by animals, humans and plant-life. Plants, and trees in particular, stand and watch silently. They give us so much, without asking for anything in return. This work explores the way trees are integral to the landscape we live in and our environment as a whole.
