Why do we poison what we need?

Keith Orr, 34

One of the things I like to capture is humans impact on the planet, where we choose to live, how it impacts the environment and the awe inspiring scale of nature compared to us.

With this photograph I wanted to show the beauty of the world with our skies and trees and juxtapose that with the pollution we spew into the atmosphere and to feed electricity into the power lines that spring up between the trees.

Its the only world we have and yet we treat it like an inexhaustible well, constantly poking holes in it and draining its life force like a vampire. We will have to do something about it because sooner rather than later this figurative vampire will literally be killed by the sun through global warming.
