WHY DO WE NEED COURAGE TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE WALLS OF THE PAST?

Louis James (McGuigan), 52

Butterfly dream … shaping change. Frozen, at eight… a child… abused. Increasing awareness and holding the culpable to account are positive steps. Are we ready to take the story further, beyond the victims? The butterfly forms within the chrysalis, then emerges. The child grows into adulthood … is the child within trapped? Every child can learn to flourish. We need to listen. The child needs to be heard. Dare we put a foot into the world of this child? What is the impact on the child? On us? How do we identity with their trauma? How do we drive the dialogue and engage? Can we rise above our conditioning? Within this conversation will we challenge the taboos? We need everyone to contribute, to feel valued and play a full part in the communities we live in. Yellow and orange, hope and change. Let the yellow butterfly evolve into a positive symbol. And me? I was frozen at eight.
