When does a society admit it has a problem and when does that problem become a national crisis? In Scotland and in the rest of the UK, suicide is one of the leading causes of death for men under 50. As someone who has dealt with this issue personally, growing up in a culture that is only now just starting to address the conversation of suicide, I felt the question needs to be asked. Why do men kill themselves?
