Why aren’t we taught to question authority?

Georgie Maxwell, 19

My entry explores the idea of being precluded from speaking up against authority. The title of the piece comes from a nazi propaganda slogan. At the time it was used to inhibit people from speaking their true mind about their rulers.

As a creative and a young person I think the liberty to question authority, tradition and convention is indispensable. Progress is not possible without the freedom to disrupt the past and amend it’s failings.
