Who are you?

Dario Mariani Sung, 32

“I–I hardly know, (…)” the youngest of three brothers, of Chinese and Italian descent, who was born and raised in Venezuela’s perpetual Summer until he was 21. Now 32, I made the United States of America my home for eleven years, this is where I grew comfortable in my own skin, where I got my first job, where I found love; until last November, when I was reminded that I was an immigrant, and it was time for me to go. Upon a fortunate (in hindsight) series of events, I moved to Scotland. I was cold as soon as I landed, thinking I knew who I was, what I liked and disliked, until the Cairngorm reindeer herd welcomed me with their inquisitive eyes in the middle of Winter, and I noticed my insides felt like Summer again. I still don’t know who I am, but I don’t lose sleep over this because I trust that I’ll bring home with me wherever I lie my head. “(…) At least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.”
