My work explores spaces both of a physical and intangible nature. I focus on the concept of domestic spaces and the everyday to encapsulate a more honest definition of who we are collectively, and as individuals. Centring on recognisable features of the domestic landscape to achieve a familiarity with my audience, I aim to create an immediate sense of understanding and openness that comes with recognising these spaces we all share. I work hard to achieve a safe platform in which people can let their guard down and feel an openness within themselves and others. I am endeavouring to help the audience—and ultimately myself—understand who we really are, using the universal language of the domestic space to touch something of longing within us all.
