When is intimacy lost?

There are points in our lives that we, perhaps, feel too busy to bother with intimate relationships. This type of relationship is beyond romantic but also involves friendships and supportive relationships with our families. As we find ourselves creating a life we want, we may often forget what makes it meaningful: sharing moments with others. Sharing with others is what we crave. We want to be understood, liked, loved, but lack the time to properly nurture the relationships that bring us these opportunities. This makes me wonder: will we forget what intimacy looks or feels like?
