When does the miraculous become the mundane?

Lara Waddell, 17

A reflective piece, which exploits creative liberties in its exploration of the shift from childhood wonder to mature sameness, and the loss of our imagination as we age. Harnessing beloved memories, I constructed this nuanced commentary on the sadness of losing awe. I believe we should all maintain wonder and admiration of the world around us, be it through our recollection of happier times, or the direction in which we point the looking glass that is our perspectives on life.
