When does something perceived to be healthy, become destructive?

Will Peppercorn, 22

A young distance running athlete – Jamie – is told that his current training regime (of 110miles a week) is unsustainable, that the cartilage in his knee’s is almost all gone and that should he continue as he is he will be in a wheelchair within a maximum of 2 years. The film aims to examine the subject of mental illness and body dysmorphia in sport. I wanted to see how notions of isolation, self punishment and body image merge with grief and difficulties at home to create a self destructive cycle of control.
