What’s the difference between a human and spaghetti?

Felix Hicks-Watkins, 18

In my work it shows a writhing, stretched group of bodies eventually forming into one mass at the bottom of the canvas. In my work I adore movement and what it does to human bodies as they move. I display this in an abstract and macabre way by laying thick layers of paint to create a Disgusting, fleshy texture and morphing each body to create the illusion of movement. My intention was that you could look at this piece and feel your skin crawl, get goosebumps and get a general feeling of nausea. Turns out it is rather sickening to see a human being stretched out into a spaghetti shaped mass.
