What signs are we really looking for?

What signs are we really looking for?

Keren Green, 27

My poem explores how emotions and thoughts can become overwhelming when faced with big changes or decisions and how this relates to my perspective of my place in the world. After a particularly mentally draining day I was inspired by the sunset I saw over the meadow after the rain had stopped. The thoughts that were intensely ever present finally paused for a moment and I began to think about how being so wrapped up in a decision was causing me to forget about the bigger picture. It can be so easy to fall into being consumed by ourselves that we fail to just stop and be. Appreciating another day finishing and trusting in tomorrow, enjoying a moment for what is. Birds singing, wind blowing and colours glowing, without a worry of what is yet to come, is truly magic and its power should not be underestimated.
