Who will ever forget this past year. Covid-19 came to challenge our humanity on all levels. Reminding us of how fragile life can be and how as humans we’re not as invisible as we thought. One man who was determined to fight back was world war two vetran Captain Tom. Despite his advanced age of 99 years, his spirit was young and courageous. He inspired the nation during lockdown by walking 100 lengths of his garden and raising tens of millions of pounds for the NHS. He taught us humility and also that one person, no matter what their circumstances, can make a world of difference. He was awarded a Knighthood by the Queen aged 100 years. “Tomorrow will be a good day”. Captain Sir Tom Moore.
