I am concerned with notions of romance, consumption, intimacy and anti-climax. I seek to create work that accommodates fragility: oscillating in territory that is simultaneously humorous, unnerving, sexual and pathetic. Using language as a means to disrupt, obfuscate or blur, questions nuances of communication, lingering in states of unknowing rather than moving into plateaus of common ground. This is a mirroring of our relationships: the failure of language when our definitions and associations with words or phrases can be so dissonant. The piece of text situates itself in that negative space between us.
