What makes us human? My first answer to this question was being good. When we do have the luxury of choice, we can choose to reach out and help others. But most people don’t have this choice, because in order to easily help others you must be secure yourself. This led me to think about our differences and similarities as humans; whether or not we’re born a blank canvas, or born with sections that make us individuals; things embedded in our DNA determining the way behave and react. I believe that we are a mixture of both. Our influences change how we see the world but individuals can react to the same influences very differently. I think this is what makes us human. The ability to be indefinable as individuals and the unpredictability of how a blank canvas will be shaped.
