What makes a monster, a monster?

Brogan Dray

My entry explores the concept of humans being monsters. Monsters are typically made out to be creatures with deformities and with poor morals, far from human but that could also describe humanity. The question is, what makes a monster, a monster? I’m curious if humanity could class as monsters and creatures or whether it is an idea created to excuse acts of no remorse which impacts lives greatly. If it is little more than a label or if it is something that defines us more than that and what that could mean for the human race.
