What is truth when memory writes our history?

Victoria J Valliere

Exploring how history is made up of the subjective memories of individuals, and questioning what therefore can be considered to be the truth of history, this piece dissects the memories of a family in order to meet a brother who died too soon. This piece questions the value of the truth in the face of the unconditional love of family and celebrates the connection between individuals that can be formed despite a complete separation of time and space between their lifespans.
