What Is The True Meaning Of Isolation?

Jordan Jeffries

Acrylic Based Painting With An ink Topcoat On Canvas.Arran: Northern Lights, 2020

I compare being in isolation to being an island just off of the mainland, being isolated from the life and freedom that you are used too.

I imagine walking along the shore front, staring out to the mainland, knowing how close this is to reach, but being unable to escape and travel to the life we knew.

The colours are to represent the importance of staying active and maintaining your mental health whilst in isolation. With the overall aim of standing together, working towards a greater cause.

Purple is generally associated with boosting creativity and developing problem-solving skills, and blue with a sense of security and productivity.
