The majority of images that we are exposed to are virtual, whereas the images that i create through Analogue processes are tangible. The work’s surface can only be realised in person and therefore demand a more intimate relationship with the viewer.
Taking the photo, exposing the resist, etching the plate and finally printing creates a dense image surface that allows for an anthropocentric notion. The reasons why the artist is making this image begin to outweigh the simple rendering of the particular place the image is of.
