Many were called by the camaraderie, some by the beauty of shared identity, some out of frustration and a perceived need for autonomy but all pierced with love. All were united in their spirit and spurred on, unbound, unbroken by the devastation they had endured. Above them hung, like a soothsayer, entitling their psyche and underlining their unfaltered perseverance, the words: ‘People Make Glasgow’. When the sadness set in they glared towards the damp grey sky, emblazoned with the fire that was their motto and they shouted louder, desperate to be listened to and considered and understood. Fearless and proud we are still here!!! We will always be here- standing together, making Glasgow and Scotland, forever.
