Drawing inks, water colour, collageEarth, 2019A1 canvas

In painting and drawing, I don’t think I have a good grasp of form, shape, perspective – everything becomes a bit abstract, flowers become shapes and colours I’ve never seen. I might use sweet wrappers, old broken canvases, a paintbrush hanging on with sellotape, I might stop for a day, a month, a year before going to back to painting. I don’t have technical skills or always a drive to create. I paint what I love when I feel inspired, I try things, I fail at things. I don’t particularly think I can draw. However, I do love the colour, the passion and the creativity, and in this sense I wonder what it art really is. What qualifies as ‘art’ and how is this distinction made?
