Part of a series exploring the intersection of femininity, beauty, and societal notions of the grotesque. The series overall is titled “Gash” and this is #3.

This piece invited participation from the viewer, allowing them to see what it draws out from their subconscious, connecting them to the traditionally feminine archetype of the womb of the unconscious mind. You are invited to find both the beauty and the mistakes hidden in the piece, and whatever patterns emerge.
