What does propriety look like in the fine art space?

Luke Wilson, 23

I made this body of work struggling at art school. I wanted a time capsule of where I was at the end of the institutional process.

I wish to frame this piece as an artefact of a young artist whose naivete is rubbing up against his growing awareness of what the art world seems to demand of his practice.

This piece is part of a series of 15 drawings.

I wanted to make something which attempted to contain all its necessary meaning within one frame, which was raw and expressed my own thoughts in a way I found resonant, and which would be a snapshot of myself and my internal struggles at a difficult time in my life.
