People say, “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”. But what do your eyes see?
I grew up believing that my beauty was not good enough, and my skin was a flaw. I would wear many faces, I would adorn myself with many colours just to be beautiful in the eyes of those who beheld me. I hid my face behind painted portraits of other people’s standards. Now I know that my beauty is many colours, many shapes and many patterns. You see no one can change their eyes, but they can change the perspective in which their eyes focus. My beauty is yours to behold, so, what do your eyes see when they see me?
