Acrylic PaintThe Final Sighting, 2021

My acrylic piece, an adaption of DaVinci’s “The Last Supper”, centres on the endangered animal taking his final meal. Further replacing Judas with a businessman (who is more focused on securing a contract  than ensuring the animal’s wellbeing), the disciples represent society and unfortunately not doing enough to save the Tiger from his inevitable end. The surroundings display gluttony, trophy hunting, and sport – all of which serve self interest and maintain personal comfort, neglecting the best interest of a sustainable future for all those who walk the earth.
