What do we feel when an impossible window on the past opens?

Robert Norman, 63

It’s a given, in our reality, that unrecorded moments are gone as we all move with time’s arrow. The Beethoven Files is a ‘what if’ where a record of a most precious moment comes mysteriously to light. We know it’s impossible, but the message is persuasive and seemingly authentic. The wonder felt by a generation long dead is ours again, but so is perplexity: only a fold in reality itself could have brought this wonder back to us.
