What are we leaving for future generations, and are we capable of radical change as a society? While these feel like particularly pressing and important questions as COP26 approaches, they are the same fearful questions people my age have been asking since we were children, and have always cast a long ominous shadow over our futures. With so much momentum and inspiring hunger for action, can we afford to be hopeful? And what will it take for global leaders to make bolder commitments? ‘Heads Turning’ is a song about both fear and hope for the future. Moving through a surreal “flooded” landscape, the video emphasises the stakes of these questions while drawing the viewer into a dream space of a submerged Glasgow city.
