What if we applied the strong female lead character of modern drama to the opressive backdrop of Victorian London?

What if we applied the strong female lead character of modern drama to the opressive backdrop of Victorian London? Could we have a withstanding Victorian female detective character to rival that of Sherlock Holmes?

This screenplay explores the trope inversion, subverting audience expectation, the occurrence of meta within genre and TV drama, and what happens when we apply modern story traits, characterisation, ideals and views to a period setting. The lead character, a strong female detective character, is uncommon within the Victorian period genre and my goal was to create an intriguing, withstanding and original character to rival that of Sherlock Holmes but also promote the movement of strong female roles in drama.
