‘Memories Are Made Of This; Will We Ever Travel So Freely?’

Moira Bromley-Wiggins

PapermacheSuitcase Of My Wanderings, 202114x12x12 inches

My submission is a Paper Mache battered suitcase made solely from the contents of a scrap book of my travels over the years. My wings are truly clipped by Covid. Within less than a year, I’ve changed from, the fearless girl who’d think nothing of jumping on a plane with no hotel booked, the social woman who was never home, to a pathetic person too timid to post a letter round the corner. For me travel was about going on an adventure, the getting there and experiencing how other people lived ate and slept? I was just fascinated by the contrasts, and I’d wonder. Here are all my memories of the places I’ve loved. Now little confidence to go anywhere
