The solitary figure entrenched in a riot situation represents the complexity of the human condition through the duality between strength and vulnerability.

Are our societies simmering with frustration and anger, ready to be ignited with violence and aggression at any time? Perhaps it is in times of crisis that our societies are tested and the human psyche is revealed.
