Throughout my 28 years of life my parents have been my constant. Married for 40 years, their daily routine hasn’t changed in decades. Cups of tea for Mum as she reads and a glass of red wine for Dad as he snacks on leftovers. I used to find it claustrophobic and terribly boring – night after night, the same thing over and over. Now it brings me comfort when growing up seems too hard. I hope to share these moments with them for many more years to come, and maybe one day I’ll get to do the same with the person I love. Family is irreplaceable yet so often taken for granted.
