Is There Human Biological Identity Throughout Nature?

Kathleen Crilly

Oil, Acrylic and Print on Canvas"Water Ripples", 20211x1m

My work asks the question, “Is there human biological identity throughout nature?”. I explore the themes of DNA, bacteria, and nature on a microscopic level to demonstrate the similar lines and shapes in nature and how it repeats itself.Using a combination of mediums to create a mix media piece that even adds raised texture to the painting. This print used in the piece is based off of microscopic images of cells and repetition to add a busy ever moving feeling to it. The abstract painting on top is based off water ripples, again these similar shapes accompanied by the print displays the similarities of nature and DNA.
