Is the ruffling of feathers vanity?

Barry Anthony Dawson, 33 | Kathleen Hillis, 16

In this, I study the black swan of Swan Lake, using actual wings looking at the interaction, the motion, the means of conveying emotion. In this there is a vision of strength, intimidation, even vanity. With a change of arms and framing it can go to one of vulnerability, apathy, even arrogance and pride. Its a display of how we can convey so much of human character with pose and a simple prop.
