Is the obsession with the selfie forcing us all to look normal?

Thomas Hogben, 33

I’ve always hated my teeth.. as a child they tormented me, in my teenage years they mocked me and as an adult they humiliated me. They have dominated chunks of my life and shaped who I am as a person today. Using a combination of archive material and my own collection of dental memorabilia, as well as insights from the British Museums Dental Anthropologist Dr. Daniel Antoine, my short film TEETH goes further than my own journey of dental salvation to explore our need to conform and our obsession with appearance in this age of the selfie. Finally questioning how far should we go to look normal?
