Beauty in nature has been simulated extensively in art, literature and architecture. Humans, as mimetic beings, have instinctively produced beautiful art through the imitation of nature. Imitation is an instinctive form of learning. However, the human effect on nature has pushed the environment to extremes. The effects of climate change are noticeable now. How did this come to be? Could we use Aristotle’s metaphysics and his studies that say there are four causes behind all of the change in the world? Formal cause – what is the plan? Final cause – what is the ultimate purpose?
