In late 2019, I was approached with a script. In these pages held a story that’s message resonated with me. When a person encounters unimaginable loss, whatever that may be, a common sentiment among their peers is to ‘carry on’, that Hope: for the future, for your family, for anything, can spring from the mountains of sadness you are currently feeling. This is what spurred the creation of this piece. After losing it all, is it worth finding Hope? This piece is an attempt to put my experiences with this question, through my own battles between Loss and Hope, into musical form. It is my Hope that someone, somewhere can gain something from this piece. Perhaps in listening they will find an answer.
