Is it possible for a student photographer to produce industry standard works with limited resources and equipment, especially while under a pandemic lock down?

Robert Traynor

As a student photographer I often find myself asking a number of questions when it comes to my own work. The main one of course being whether it’s good enough, could I imagine the image as part of an advertising campaign, in a magazine, on a website, sold as a piece of fine art or being used for some other reason. Another question I’ve been asking myself recently when considering the one above, is whether a student photographer (especially one in the first year of his education and now under a pandemic lock down with limited resources and equipment like me) can actually produce industry standard images in the first place? The answer, at least in my mind, is why not…?
