How Does the Human Body Adapt Its Shape to a Musical Instrument and Vice Versa?

While drawing a variety of musicians I became intrigued by how their stance, posture and hand and finger shapes varied according to the instrument each played. For instance I noticed that a fiddler and a violinist stand in different ways. I realised that the instrument and the musician adapt and co-operate in the service of the music. This adds a level of visual interest to a live music performance.
