Ethereal, 2020

Dance is no longer just for entertainment as someone who is unable to do dance but always having a fascination with it and the way that dance can make you feel I wanted to find a way to get involved with it by incorporating my photography practise. Using long-exposure to create an ethereal style image which shows the movement from the dancers as well as bringing new aspects to the image. This project was important to me to show that dance is more than just entertainment and that it is an emotional release for many people. The project was originally created for my degree show which had to be cancelled but through the cancellation, the work has, even more meaning to me, due to the hard work put in to it.
