How do I Let Go?

Ioana Ene, 21

Memories and thoughts ensnare us in endless cycles of grief and sorrow. The feelings are the same, the effects are different. With each cut through the soul, a scar remains. Fragments are harder to piece together, and holding on only brings them farther apart. First, it is the outside that harms the self. Then, it is the self that harms the self.
This piece explores this cycle of self-destruction, in which one is bound in a cage and can only continue to fragment themselves further.
