How can you be a musician when you can’t face the music?

Hailey Kline, 16

This is the monologue of a grieving granddaughter determined to keep her grandmothers values and traditions alive. Like her grandmother, the teenager stands alone against the vices and corruptions of her relatives. The girl’s sense of injustice leads her to challenge her older family members whom she used to respect. As the tension builds, she seems to channel her grandmothers strong will and ability to reason. Ultimately, a different family is the only one dead to her.
