My poetry pieces create depth, not through typical flowery language, but with nuance and subtlety, through smaller details. My poems aren’t lavish or flashy, they are simple, sinister fables for my readers to immerse themselves in. My settings of folklore with the atmospheric adding of nature expresses my transformation of the mundane everyday conveying a more phantasmic vision of life. Previous to realising my full potential when writing with my current muse of mythology, I was adrift with my writing. My poetry techniques, such as my creation of serene yet sometimes malevolent characters, have made me much more expressive and embrace my true capabilities as a writer.
