The stimulus of the image came to me as I stood in a queue to get into a supermarket during lockdown. I saw people from every colour, creed and sexuality socially distancing and trying to protect themselves from the deadly Covid 19 virus which, as became clear early in the pandemic, is discriminatory in its effect.
We need to look after each other while celebrating our amazing diversity and differences. If Covid has shown us anything, it has shown us humanity can be fragile. It has also shown us that we are resilient. It seems there is no place in this ‘race’ for discrimination.
