Isolation won’t be a problem for me. As an artist “social distancing” has always been my thing. I’d been toying with a larger self portrait since upgrading my desk. The source photos previously had always been “selfies” or sitting using a mirror, but even at that, I was kind to myself. For this one however, I thought I’d tie it in with the idea of being alone and isolated, and maybe be a bit more honest with myself. So here’s my isolation… or is it just another day? House coat on, no socks and in desperate need of a haircut. The drawing itself is on A1 watercolour paper and was completed with graphite, charcoal and ink.
