My short story explores the fragments of the everyday and asks the question ‘Does life need to be full of big moments?’ In a world obsessed with making every moment newsworthy and posting every story, photograph, thought, or action online, the main character of this story moves about her Sunday morning with quiet confidence, introspection, and a sense-of-self. Other than changing the music on her mobile phone, there is no reference to an electronic device. She doesn’t try to prove anything to anyone and shows the importance of accepting and being comfortable with yourself and in your decisions, particularly within those quiet, in between moments when there are no screens and no one around to share these moments with.
